Blueberry Jam II “Waitin for Columbus” a FREE event in Warren, Vermont.
On Monday October 11, 2010 3-8 pm Columbus Day. Sanctuary Events is proud to host
this 2nd annual community event held in a Pavilion and tent overlooking Blueberry Lake.
There will be LIVE Music, a Harvest Buffet, Boat rides and lots of fun, as we
Celebrate Autumn in Vermont. Live Music by Eric Smith and the Mighty Roots, Makuru(Vermont Drummers), Soul Remedy of New Orleans, MeMaranda (Vermont HipHop), Louie Brown a local guitarist , Patrick Quimby and friends playing folk rock.
A Colorful Harvest Buffet will be offered to attendees as well compliments of Sanctuary.
This event is dedicated to the memory of Richie Hayward of Little Feat who recently lost his battle with Liver Cancer. We are asking people to bring small hand drums to play and or donate to the Westhaven Orphanage for disabled children in Jamaica.
Owner of Sanctuary on Blueberry Lake Retreat, Rita Brown attends an event annually that Little Feat hosts in Negril, Jamaica. Guests attending bring backpacks full of supplies for the kids and musical instruments as well. After the event a group of Volunteers headed by Elana Hammilfarb and assisted by Brown head up to Westhaven Orphanage to bring musicians, instruments and supplies to the orphans. We spend a day or two entertaining them and giving them much needed LOVE and attention leaving gifts behind. All are invited to this wonderful FREE event. See you there and please bring your friends.
